What is a starter deck?

A premade vocabulary deck for a regular (non-AP) high-school course. The official deck is read-only — you copy it to My Sets and the copy is fully yours: add your class's words, delete what you already know.

Do I need an account to use a starter deck?

No. Guests can browse and study. Copying a deck to My Sets works as a guest too, but the copy lives on that device only — a free account keeps it and syncs it across devices.

How does the scheduling work?

Rycal uses SM-2 spaced repetition: after each flashcard you rate it Still Learning or Know, and your ratings decide when that card comes back. Add your test date to the Test Planner and pacing compresses as the test approaches — nothing is ever scheduled past test day.

Is this aligned to my state's standards?
