Mole
The SI unit for amount of substance; one mole of any substance contains 6.022 × 10²³ (Avogadro's number) of its particles.

A measure of hydronium ion concentration: pH = −log[H₃O⁺].
Unit 8 · Acids and Bases
Hess's law
The enthalpy change of an overall reaction equals the sum of the enthalpy changes of the steps that make it up. Reversing a reaction flips the sign of ΔH; scaling a reaction scales ΔH; adding reactions adds their ΔH values.

Rate law
An expression relating reaction rate to reactant concentrations, each raised to a power: rate ∝ [reactant]ⁿ.

Resonance
A description used when more than one equivalent Lewis structure can be drawn for a molecule or ion; the real structure is an average of the resonance forms.

Molarity
Concentration in moles of solute per liter of solution: M = n_solute / L_solution.

Titration
A technique for determining the amount of an analyte by reacting it with a titrant of known concentration.

Dynamic equilibrium
The state in which the forward and reverse rates of a process are equal, so there is no net change and concentrations remain constant.

How does the scheduling work?

Rycal uses SM-2 spaced repetition: after each flashcard you rate it Still Learning or Know, and your ratings decide when that card comes back. Add your exam date to the Test Planner and pacing compresses unit by unit as the test approaches — nothing is ever scheduled past test day.

Do I need an account to start?
