Hydrogen bond
A weak attraction between a hydrogen atom carrying a partial positive charge and a nearby electronegative atom (such as oxygen or nitrogen) carrying a partial negative charge. Hydrogen bonds between water molecules cause cohesion, adhesion, and surface tension.

Mitosis
The process that ensures transfer of a complete genome from a parent cell to two genetically identical daughter cells in eukaryotes. It plays a role in growth, tissue repair, and asexual reproduction, occurring in sequential steps (prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase) alternating with interphase.

Photosynthesis
The series of reactions that use carbon dioxide, water, and light energy to make carbohydrates and oxygen. Photosynthesis first evolved in prokaryotic organisms.

Natural selection
A major mechanism of evolution. According to Darwin's theory, competition for limited resources results in differential survival: individuals with more favorable phenotypes are more likely to survive and produce more offspring, passing those favorable traits to subsequent generations.

How does the scheduling work?

Rycal uses SM-2 spaced repetition: after each flashcard you rate it Still Learning or Know, and your ratings decide when that card comes back. Add your exam date to the Test Planner and pacing compresses unit by unit as the test approaches — nothing is ever scheduled past test day.

Do I need an account to start?
